The Ramayana:
Love and Valour in India's Great Epic

The Ramayana, one of the world's greatest and most enduring stories, is considered to be fundamental to the art and culture of India and South East Asia and is still regularly performed in dance, drama and shadow-puppet theatres around the world. For the first time over 120 paintings from the British Library's lavishly illustrated 17th century manuscripts of the story from the volumes of Rana Jagat Singh of Mewar (1628-1652) go on public display, brought vividly to life in a stunning exhibition designed by Tara.

TRANSITION TOWN TOOTING
Could Tooting become the UK's 50th Transition Town?

Can we imagine a low-energy, post-peak oil Tooting?
How will we meet our food and healthneeds?
What will our transport look like?
How would Tooting house and power itself?
Where will business and economics fit in?
What will be the role of the arts, education and culture?

A group of Tooting residents are looking at the benefits of such an initiative - join them!
