Tara Theatre delighted to recieve The Stage 2017 Sustainability Award

30 January 2017

We were delighted to be awarded The Stage 2017 inaugural Sustainability Award for our new theatre.

Alistair Smith, editor of The Stage and chair of the judging panel, said:

‘‘Tara Arts showed what is possible when it comes to sustainable practices and the building offers a new benchmark for other new-building projects.’’

“Congratulations to all our brilliant winners. The Stage Awards are the only awards that celebrate theatre of all scales, from all four corners of the UK and across the globe. Our winners range from Sonia Friedman – the West End’s leading producer – to the New Diorama, a fringe theatre that has made a name for itself by supporting and championing emerging talent at the very start of their careers.”

The awards were presented at a ceremony held at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London. You can see Jatinder Verma MBE Tara Arts' Artistic Director collecting the prestigoius award.
