Marketing and Communications Manager

 

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per-annum (depending on experience)

Terms: Full time, permanent contract

Location: Tara Theatre, 356 Garratt Lane, London, SW18 4ES

 

Tara Arts is seeing an experienced, inspiring and dynamic individual to join our team as Marketing and Communications Manager. As a creative and strategic thinker, the successful candidate will assume responsibility for the marketing, communication and audience development initiatives of Tara Theatre – Britain’s only dedicated home for multicultural theatre. Working closely with the Artistic Director and Executive Director to develop and realise an innovative and ambitious marketing and communications strategy that will promote Tara Theatre across all media to achieve maximum programme/brand awareness and business growth.

Working as part of a small pioneering team, creating and presenting visionary cross-cultural theatre, the successful applicant will be responsible for shaping and delivering Tara’s marketing and communications strategy; managing staff; and working across all platforms to build audiences and the profile of Tara Theatre locally and globally.

Tara Arts is a small-scale theatre company with a local, national and international profile and a sustained track record of acclaim and success stretching over four decades. In 2016 the organisation launched the new purpose built, award-winning Tara Theatre as their home; as well as being one of the UKs leading Asian touring theatre companies with the constant ambition to be innovative and entrepreneurial.

Work Experience & Internships

Tara is committed to supporting people interested in gaining experience in the Arts.

We can offer 1-2 week work experience placements, and internships for up to 3 months. These internships are aimed at providing a concerted insight into theatre practice, highlighting potential career pathways available in the industry. A written reference is provided at the end of each placement. Please note: these are unpaid opportunities.
