Talk presented by StrongBack Productions with Tara Arts

Join us for a panel discussion chaired by theatre, television and film actor Adjoa Andoh on how to bring hidden histories to life in performance. Leading writers discuss how they brought their stories of African and Caribbean soldiers service in the world wars to life on stage and consider the question ‘Have Black lives ever mattered?’

Juliet Gilkes Romero (TV journalist, stage and screen writer, winner Writers Guild Award for Best Play)

Patricia Cumper (award-winning playwright and radio dramatist)

This talk runs for an hour and you are welcome to ask questions at the end. Seating is unreserved in the Tara Studio, drinks and snacks may be purchased from the bar from 6pm. The building is open from 5.30pm.
