Danyal Dhondy is a versatile composer and arranger from South London.
As an Associate Artist at Tara, he has been involved in several productions before and after the theatre's refurbishment including the reopening production of Paradise of the Assassins. He is Composer in Residence at the National Orchestra for All, and writes regularly for other groups such as Kensington Chamber Orchestra. Forthcoming projects include a ballet, in collaboration with choreographer Arielle Smith, to be performed by the London Schools Symphony Orchestra and Rambert Ballet School in Easter 2017, and a new opera based on 1001 Nights.
He was nominated for a British Composer award in 2015 and an Arts Foundation Award in Opera Composition in 2010. He contributed to Sam Lee's Mercury-nominated album in 2012.
