Rahul Mishra, a Hindustani Classical vocalist, belongs to two of the most respected families of the Benaras Gharana tradition of music. His paternal grandfather was Late Pt. Baijnath Prasad Mishra of the Benaras Gharana of Sarangi and maternal grandfather was Late Pt. Sharda Sahai - a direct descendant of Pt. Ram Sahai the founder of Banaras style of tabla playing. Rahul is the son of Pt. Triloki Nath Mishra, and senior most disciple (Gandabandh shishya) of Smt Girija Devi.Rahul is professionally trained in most of the forms of Hindustani Classical Vocal music that are typical of the Benaras Gharana. He is National Scholarship holder from the Indian Ministry of Culture and Visiting Vocal Classical Faculty in PRSSV London.
Dheeraj Sahai-Mishra is one of the most exciting dynamic young Tabla players of his generation and represents the 7th Generation of the Benares Gharana tradition. Dheeraj became a disciple of his grandfather Pt Sharda Sahai who is the direct descendent of Pt Ram Sahai ji the founder of the Benares Gharana. Dheeraj has performed across numerous festivals in India and Europe
