Sing Out

A Singing Workshop for All

Saturday 23 February 2019, 2pm - 4.30pm

Join singer and vocal director, Melissa James, in this singing workshop with a difference.  Joy comes at the heart of all Melissa’s sessions but this is also an opportunity to find and better engage with your voice among a like-minded group of others.

Melissa brings her passion and love for the voice and music to enthuse those who join her, lifting their confidence, their hearts and their voices.  Whether you are a regular singer or a rare singer; regardless of whether you are used to singing in a group or whether you prefer singing on your own – prior experience or ability needn’t deter you in attending this singing workshop which is open to all.

There is no need to read music or to have any technical musical knowledge.  Everything is taught by ear.  You simply need to have a desire to want to try to bring-out the voice that resides within you.  And a desire to connect it with the voices of others.  We can leave our inner critics at the door.

We may chant and sing in parts and in harmony.  We will certainly make beautiful sounds - perhaps in the style of folk songs, gospel, spirituals, pop, blues  and any other sounds we feel led to embrace musically.

With an aim to feel the joy in creating sound through song, prepare to feel elevated and inspired at the end of the session.

Sing Out! is part of the #LiveAgain Project  - a singing and arts project led by Melissa James.
