Tara Poetry: Instructions for Living a Life, curated by Aviva Dautch
For this Summer edition of our Tara Poetry series, we are highlighting poets who follow Mary Oliver’s poetic instructions: “pay attention / be astonished / write about it”. Our series curator Aviva Dautch, described by Andrew Motion as ‘one to watch’, will be joined by local musicians and by three other award-winning emerging women poets: Jemma Borg, winner of the 2018 Ginkgo Prize, the world’s biggest prize for ecopoetry, Sarala Estruch winner of the 2017 Primers Prize and a Ledbury Poetry Critic, and Abigail Parry, recent winner of the Ballymaloe and Troubadour prizes, whose collection Jinx was shortlisted for the Forward prize for best first collection in 2018.
