The New Union Flag Pageantry

Installation & participatory exhibition. Part of the Wandsworth Fringe 2017

Sat 20 May 1pm to 8pm

The New Union Flag Project, by the visual artist Gil Mualem-Doron, re-imagines the Union Jack, challenging imagined fixed identities and celebrating diversity. It reflects the UK’s colonial past and contemporary multicultural society.

Since 2015, thousands have participated in the New Union Flag events, including at Tate Modern and the Turner Contemporary. Now you can too. As part of Wandsworth Arts Fringe at Tara the project will include an installation. Visitors will have an opportunity to have their photos taken in front of Gil Mualem-Doran's installation. Photos of those who give their permission will then be uploaded onto his website and links shared with them and Tara. TheNewUnionFlag

Drop in to see the extraordianry installation in our Studio. Suitable for all ages.
