WOMEN OF TAGORE
WHAT DOES IT MEANT TO BE A WOMAN IN A MAN'S WORLD?
8 - 9 MAY 7.30pm
Komola Collective present Women of Tagore
“For we women are not only the deities of the household fire but the flame of the soul itself.”
The intrepid women’s company Komola Collective bring three of Rabindranath Tagore’s best-known female characters to life: Debjani, Charulata, and Nandini. Nobel Laureate Tagore writes in a way that is both epic and relatable. From the inhabitants of the Underworld to those of a dystopian future, these women experience love and loss and must make sacrifices, questioning what it means to be women in a man's world.
